A Sense of Touch
A project to create a set of cups that took into consideration the sense of touch, whether it was in the form itself or the glaze.
I decided to alter the form so that when the user was handling the cup, they would be reminded of the essence of ceramics – stone and earth.
Boulder Cups: M370 clay, wheel thrown then altered. Matte white glaze.
Wooden tray: Heat treated birch.
